Paper Bead Necklaces, Uganda
Beautiful, colorful paper bead necklaces hand rolled by women living in the Acholi Quarter of Uganda.
Handmade & Fair Trade
These bracelets are handmade in the Acholi Quarter of Uganda by a group of 100 women. These women are provided an education, vocational skills, and more through Project Have Hope.
Paper beads are made by cutting recycled paper into long triangular shapes. Then rolling each strip into a bead. The bead is then glued and dipped into a clear varnish to give it durability, hardness, and sheen. A necklace takes about a day to complete.
