Thaivillage empowers families in Thailand by providing vocational training and employment. They also support Christian education and many community based programs. They work in the context of the everyday lives of people, walking through real life situations, and learning from each other as they focus on relationships with the artisans. 

The vocational training leads to income generation and increases the artisans ability to support themselves and their family. Thaivillage has supported programs in stitching, dressmaking, woodworking, silver smithing, paper making, and jewelry design.

Other programs include a savings program, home visits, Bible education, Church support, children's camps, and community outreach.
